Former Vikings running back, and NFL MVP Adrian Peterson will be suiting up for the Washington Redskins this year.
The seven-time all pro has agreed to sign a one-year contract to provide depth for the Redskins injury riddle backfield.

Peterson who spent 10-years in Minnesota and was considered the best running in the league for years also spent the 2017 season split between the Cardinals and Saints. He remained unsigned until now, as he only amassed 529 yards in 10 games.
The Redskins backfield has been riddled by injuries. First to second-round pick Derrius Guice and then to backups Samaje Perine and Byron Marshall.
The Redskins brought in ex-chiefs back Jamal Charles and former Giants running back Orleans Darkwa. The backs were in for physicals but ultimately the Skins chose the 33-year old Peterson to sure up the backfield.
Peterson has totaled 12,276 rushing yards in his career and rushed for a career-high 2,097 during his MVP season in 2012. The running back is a future Hall of Famer but has only rushed for 601 yards and 2 touchdowns in his last two seasons. He rushed for 1485 yards and 11 touchdowns in his last year with the Vikings.
