Yesterday Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger left practice after 7 on 7 drills. Ben laid on the ground holding his head in pain after taking a fall during practice. Before leaving the field, Ben was seen conversating with the coaches.

Known as one of the games toughest quarterbacks, Roethlisberger has had many injuries during his career. Often times he has been able to play through the injuries and other times he has avoided missing extensive time.
Fortunately, this injury comes during the preseason when the games don't count. It does, however, provide valuable reps for the backups, specifically Josh Dobbs and Mason Rudolph, both of whom are continuing to learn the playbook as well as adjust to the speed of the NFL.
Roethlisberger did not miss any games due to injury during the 2017 season. It is imperative for the Steelers that Roethlisberger remain healthy as he is the main key to Pittsburgh's Super Bowl title hopes. Without him, the current back up Landry Jones has yet to prove that he is capable of filling in for Ben for an extended amount of time. Steeles Nation hopes this latest setback is just a precaution and not something that lingers on.
